Why Insmed

Progress Begins with You

When your ‘why’ aligns with ours, transformational change becomes possible.

At Insmed, progress is powered by purpose. Each of us brings a unique motivation to our work, and together, we create the momentum to move real change forward. We support meaningful work through science that pushes boundaries, collaboration across geographies and functions, and a culture grounded in inclusion and a shared commitment to patients. Our size and structure are designed for agility, making it easier to work across teams, access leadership, and solve problems faster, together. Here, your ‘why’ is supported and strengthened—so the next idea you bring forward can grow into something great.

Impact.

Fuel progress with meaning

Impact guides our priorities and brings urgency to our work. To us, it isn’t just part of the goal; it’s a responsibility we proudly carry with care and intention. It shapes how we show up—through bold thinking and thoughtful execution. Some of us advance potential therapies while others build the systems and processes that help deliver them. Every role contributes to something greater, and every contribution counts. You’re trusted to take initiative and given the tools to see your ideas through—because when people are counting on us, we find a way. Or create one.

Discovery.

Lead with curiosity

Discovery isn’t confined to research or a single team. It’s a mindset that lives within all of us and manifests through bold questions, challenged assumptions, and applied learning. You’re part of a culture that sees curiosity as a strength and initiative as a catalyst for innovation. Your questions and ideas have the potential to determine what’s next and are achieved through collective action. You’re trusted to think differently, explore new approaches, and use your skills to operate out of the box for patients, our teams, and the world around us. Discovery is how we grow—it’s how we work through complexity, learn from one another, and help deliver on our commitment to patients.

People.

Prioritize the human experience

For us, everything starts with people—from the patients we serve to the colleagues we work alongside and the communities we’re part of. We work with mutual respect and a shared sense of purpose, knowing that diverse perspectives lead to better outcomes. You’re part of a team that values listening as much as the initiative to act, believes authenticity and trust enable people to do their best work, and knows ego-free teamwork drives better solutions. Growth is supported through hands-on learning and the space to build a career shaped by your strengths and potential. You’re trusted to prioritize the human experience for patients and colleagues while belonging to a culture that does the same for you.

Our Commitment to You

You belong here—the whole you.

Inclusion is a principle that shapes how we work, lead, and grow as a community. When you feel inspired to bring your whole self to work, you’re more likely to share ideas, challenge assumptions, and contribute in ways that matter—something our mission deeply depends on. Belonging isn’t just about showing up. It’s about being seen, supported, accepted, and valued for what you bring, and that’s what our culture strives to reflect every day.

Find Your Community

Each of our Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) is open to all employees and creates space to connect, share experiences, and support one another. Because when you thrive, we all thrive.

“The culture we’ve built at Insmed centers around our commitment to patients, our values, and our support of each other and the communities around us. It’s all of our responsibility to uphold this culture and continue to foster an environment of inclusion, authenticity, and belonging. By showing up each day and asking, ‘How can I help?’ we’re able to empower our colleagues and collectively do our best work on behalf of patients.”
